Need a heat-resistant TPU flexible connector? The PU-HT delivers a 150°C continuous rating, 1.0 mm clear wall, and full FDA food-contact compliance.
The PU-HT is a high-temperature-grade polyether TPU flexible connector rated for −20 to 150°C continuous service. Standard TPU softens and deforms above roughly 110°C; this PU-HT formulation extends the safe operating window while retaining a 1.0 mm clear wall, 600% elongation at break, tool-free snap-in installation, and full FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 compliance. It is engineered specifically for heated powder lines and high-temperature environments where standard sleeves soften, sag, and fail prematurely.
Q: What happens to standard TPU at high temperatures?
A: Standard TPU can soften, deform, and eventually melt as the temperature approaches its upper limit. In our demonstration test, a standard TPU sample showed visible softening and melting at approximately 130–140°C. Under actual production vibration, a softened sleeve tears at the flex point and loses its seal.
Q: How does the PU-HT perform differently?
A: The PU-HT is formulated for higher-temperature service while retaining the flexibility of standard TPU. It is rated for continuous service up to 150°C. In our short-term demonstration, a PU-HT sample was exposed to 160°C hot air for 17 minutes and retained its original shape without visible melting, collapse, or sticking. (Note: The 160°C result is a short-term demonstration and should not be interpreted as a continuous operating rating).
The first failure point of a heated flexible connector is usually not the wall tearing — it is the seal losing retention. TPU naturally softens as temperature rises. A softened cuff loses its radial pre-tension against the spigot, the snap-in grip weakens, and powder leaks at the interface.
| MATERIAL | BEHAVIOR AT HIGH TEMPERATURE |
|---|---|
| Standard TPU | Softens and loses cuff retention near 110°C |
| PU-HT High-Temp | Holds structural stiffness and cuff retention up to 150°C |
This is why high-temperature lines require a high-temperature-grade polymer, not just a thicker standard sleeve.
Temperature ratings are only meaningful if you understand the time scale. A sleeve that "survives 200°C for 5 minutes" is a peak/flash rating, which can be highly misleading for continuous production.
| RATING TYPE | MEANING | RELIABILITY |
|---|---|---|
| Peak / flash rating | Survives briefly, then degrades | Low — misleading for continuous production |
| Continuous rating (150°C) | Holds stiffness and retention full-time | High — engineering-grade |
The PU-HT is rated for −20 to 150°C continuous service. That is the temperature at which it maintains its mechanical function and structural integrity full-time, not just during a one-time thermal spike.

Q1: Is 150°C a continuous or peak rating?
A: Continuous. The PU-HT holds its stiffness and snap-in retention at −20 to 150°C full-time. It is not a brief peak figure.
Q2: Why not just use a thicker standard sleeve at high temperatures?
A: Thickness does not fix temperature resistance. A 1.5 mm standard TPU still softens near 110°C — the wall is thicker, but it becomes just as soft. High temperature requires a change in the polymer formulation, not just a thicker wall.
Q3: Does the high-temp sleeve still flex?
A: Yes. It retains 600% elongation at break, meaning it absorbs vibration and equipment offset just like our standard grade, but safely extends the temperature window.
Q4: Is it food-contact compliant?
A: Yes. It is FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 compliant (Report TQT4821B36E) and formulated in accordance with EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011.
Q5: What is the exact product code?
A: The part code is PUHT. For example, PUHT-204-300 represents a Ø204 mm × 300 mm high-temperature grade connector.

Accumulating oversize debris, foreign matter, and agglomerates on screener discharge ports traditionally requires clumsy buckets, taped bags, or heavy clamped metal bins that leak dust and slow down cleanouts. SOSHH Snap-In Clear TPU Collection Blanking Socks provide a hygienic, 100% dust-tight, and liquid-tight collection receptacle. Manufactured from high-transparency, ether-based polyurethane (FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 compliant), these socks allow operators to monitor fill levels instantly without opening the process stream. The top snap-in cuff locks into standard SOSHH and industry-standard spigots in under 30 seconds without tools, providing a completely crevice-free transition that meets strict cGMP cleanroom standards.
Relieve Hopper Air Displacement While Capturing 99.9% of Sub-Micron Dust Rapid powder batching and gravity filling displace huge volumes of air inside hoppers, bins, and loss-in-weight feeders. When sealed with solid impermeable sleeves, this air displacement causes positive pressure surges that blow out gaskets, aerate powders, and cause erratic weighing errors on load cells. SOSHH Snap-In Breather Bags provide controlled, continuous pressure relief while retaining fine airborne particles down to 1 micron. Constructed from breathable polyester needle felt (FM1) and featuring an integrated snap-in seating band, these bags install tool-free in under 30 seconds directly into standard industry spigots. standard industry spigots or standard SOSHH spigots The heavy-duty top loop handle allows effortless overhead suspension to prevent bag sagging during idle cycles.
Engineered for differential pressure relief and dust-tight venting in powder handling systems, the SOSHH SF-Series Breathable Snap-In Connector replaces traditional clamped cloth sleeves. Featuring standard food-grade woven polyester with antistatic grid lines ( LM4 equivalent), high-air-permeability PP06, or heavy-duty PTFE-membrane needle felt (PE20), it snaps directly into grooved spigots in 30 seconds without tools. Certified to FDA 21 CFR 177.1630, it delivers continuous air venting (10-25 L/dm2/min) while containing ultra-fine powders in silos, sifters, and bulk bag filling lines.
